A scientific lecture by a keen and quirky zoologist, becomes a journey into the spectacular natural world of evolution, using synthetic household objects.

‘The Blue Table’ grants us a rare glimpse into the intimate moments of animals’ lives in their natural habitat. We meet plastic-bag swans, kitchen-towel snails and a school of teaspoon herring. We learn surprising facts: the ancient relationship between the Blue Whale and the Hippopotamus; the exciting mating habits of garden snails; and answers to the mysterious question: where do birds disappear to when the lake freezes?
